Defense minister urges Muslims to be united against Zionists

Tehran, July 22, IRNA - Defense Minister Hossein Dehqan on Tuesday asked Muslims to be united against the Zionist regime in support for Palestinians.

Speaking to a gathering of the Defense Ministry's staff, he noted that Muslims should be vigilant towards Zionist regime's divisive plots.

He underlined that Muslim and Arab world's silence towards Zionist regime's crimes will have non-compensable consequences.

Zionist regime and its allies plan to deplete Palestinian resistance movement's strategic power by such attacks, he asserted.

Dehqan added that the Zionist regime is facing existential crisis and it is desperate towards the increase of resistance movements' power.

Acclaimed advocates of human rights encourage terrorist activities of Zionists and Takfiri groups by their inaction, he noted.

The minister noted that the Zionist regime is not committed to international rules and regulations, calling on the international community to disarm and isolate this regime as a punishment for its crimes in Gaza.

Since July 8, the Zionist regime has struck more than 1,800 targets across Gaza, which is home to around 1.8 million Palestinians. The strikes have so far claimed the lives of more than 575 with over 3,500 others injured.

Meanwhile, Hamas leader in Gaza Ismail Haniyeh has said Gaza would become “a graveyard for Israeli soldiers,” who are committing crimes against Palestinians. Around 30 Israelis have so far been killed in the war.
