Iranian children shine in Belarus

Tehran, July 21, IRNA - Members of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) have been awarded at the 9th International Painting Contest in Belarus.

According to Monday's edition of the English-language paper 'Iran Daily', the children were presented with a plaque of honor and 12 diplomas.

Titled ‘Homeland’, the competition covered topics such as folklore stories, sceneries, old houses and gardens.

Fatemeh Sadri a 12-year-old from Ardebil province finished runner-up. Fereshteh Rashidi, Sina Mashhadi and Hannaneh Sabour from East Azarbaijan province, Asef Hivehji from Golestan province, Donya Marandi and Havjin Sheykheh from West Azarbaijan province and Aylin Saripour from Golestan were among the other winners.

Hossein Mohammadi, Aida Pourhassan, Nassim Aminia and Alireza Shakernasab were also on the list.

Children from 31 states participated in the competition. The IIDCYA has submitted a total of 682 works.
