Book introduces Molana to world

Tehran, July 16, IRNA - The book 'Bang-e Aab' (Sound of Water), centered on the renowned Persian poet and mystic Molana Jalaleddin Rumi, has been released by Roshd Amouzesh Publications.

Written by Soudabeh Karimi, the book aims to help introduce Rumi thoughts to the world.

"This is the revised version of the book which was first published in 2005 by Shour Publications. However, I have made some changes, added some sections such as the words of Shams Tabrizi," Karimi said.

The book discusses topics, for instance human beings and their relationship with God, love, wisdom and ethics, she added.

Rumi was a 13th-century Persian poet and Sufi mystic. His importance is considered to transcend national and ethnic borders. His poems have been widely translated into many world languages. He has been described as the "most popular poet in America" and the "best selling poet in the US".

His masterpiece 'Masnavi' remains one of the purest literary glories of Persia, and one of the crowning glories of the Persian language.
