IRCS deplores Israeli air raids targeting civilians in Gaza

Tehran, July 15, IRNA – Head of Iran Red Crescent Society, Mohammad Farhadi, on Tuesday deplored Israeli air raids targeting civilians and ambulances carrying the wounded and air workers in Gaza.

In a statement a copy of which was made available to IRNA, Farhadi said that the worst possble humanitarian crisis is currently underway in Gaza, calling on the world leaders and the international community to oblige the Israeli leaders to respect the international law and the Geneva Conventions consistent with war and hostility.

Israeli leaders target the Mosques to take the highest possible tolls on the civilians.

In reaction to the international community's protest, the Israeli leaders say that they targeted the Mosques deliberately, because, there are missile launchers hidden at the Mosques, whereas, the Muslims gather at nights of the holy month of Ramadan to listen to the preachers and perform religious rituals at the Mosques.

The message further read that based on Palestinian officials' reports, Gaza war started since July 8 by limiting access to the medical and health services as well as basic humanitarian needs.

"We got to understand that the Zionist regime has shelled widescale civilian targets to the extent that as a result of one of the attacks, a disabled protection center and a number of mosques and the emergency medical center of the Palestinian Red Cross were targeted and destroyed in Jabaliya.
