IRGC official: Iranian diplomats fighting to defend nation's interests

Tehran, July 15, IRNA – Acting Commander of the Islamic Revolution's Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Hossein Salami stressed that the Iranian diplomats are now defending the interests of the nation against all bullying powers.

Referring to big regional wars, he said the Iranian nation has managed to disappoint the enemies by making constant presence in the arena of defending Islam.

He noted that enemies also tried hard to engulf the Iranian nation by poverty and hunger through imposing economic sanctions but failed to do so.

Commenting on the nuclear talks between Iran and G5+1, the commander said the Iranian diplomats have been engaged in a war against all world powers to defend the nation's interests.

Praising Iran's scientific achievements, he said such a progress has been achieved while the whole world has been trying to damage the country.

He stressed that Iran sent satellites to space, developed nuclear technology, built refineries, power plants and missiles at the time when it was facing sanctions.
