MP urges world parliaments to support defenseless Palestinians

Tehran, July 14, IRNA – Chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Majlis Alae'ddin Boroujerdi on Monday urged parliaments of 46 world countries to support innocent people of Palestine, Gazans in particular.

Sending separate messages to his counterparts, Boroujerdi called on them to condemn the recent atrocities of the Zionist regime in Gaza Strip which left over 170 dead and scores more wounded mostly women and children.

The messages were sent to parliamentarians of various European, American, African, Asian and Central Asian states including, Ireland, Russia, Mexico, Venezuela, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Yemen, Brazil, Sudan, China, and Algeria.

Boroujerdi also criticized silence of international circles, the so-called human rights advocates in particular, vis-à-vis Zionists crimes.

Tel Aviv began brutal air strikes against defenseless people of Gaza on July 8.

The MP urged his counterparts to take proper stands against the Zionist regime's atrocities in Gaza and defend innocent Gazans at parliamentarian circles of their own countries and at international forums.

Boroujerdi said Tel Aviv air and sea strikes would only lead to further resistance of the Palestinians and a severe defeat of the Zionists.
