Lebanese minister calls for fostering ties with Iran

Beirut, July 14, IRNA - Lebanon's Information Minister Ramzi Jreij here on Monday called for reinforcement of all-out cooperation between Beirut and Tehran.

Talking to IRNA, Jreij noted that extremist groups including the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant known as Daesh has no place among the Lebanese Sunni community.

Describing Iran as an influential country in the region, he said the two countries enjoy amicable relationship.

Pointing to the recent agreements reached between the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and Lebanon's National News Agency, Jreij expressed hope that the two sides would do their best to implement such agreements.
