Rafsanjani: Israel perpetrated worst violence, crimes against humanity in Gaza

Tehran, July 12, IRNA – Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Saturday that Israel perpetrated the worst violence and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

In a meeting with the staff of the Social Security Organization, Ayatollah Rafsanjani deplored new round of savage operations of the Zionist regime in Gaza in the holy month of Ramadan.

In the meantime, he expressed concern about bloodshed and crimes against humanity by the Daesh terror group in Iraq and said that Iraq must bolster national solidarity to defeat Daesh.

On Takfiri groups' crimes in Iraq, Ayatollah Rafsanjani said, "Those falsely think of establishing genuine Islam and global caliphate of Islam, but, the reality is that they want to disgrace Islam because the world attribute their behavior to Islam and the hostile foreign media use their words and deeds in line with their own goals."

He said that Iraqi national divide served as the incentive for the Daesh terror group. "As Ayatollah Sistani emphasizes, solidarity and unity of government and people of Iraq would be effective to prepare for defeat and exit of Daesh terror group and separatists from Iraq."

He said that the the extremist views, intransigence, unreal and false dreams of the extremist groups serve as main obstacle on the way of independence and uprising of nations.

Noting that there is tight connection between war crimes in Gaza and activity of Daesh terror group in Iraq, Rafsanjani said both make Zionists' role very outstanding, so one should be careful that such practices are major threat to the Muslim World.

He said terrorism is an angle of the triangle of foreign domination and domestic despotism which prevent nations to be free, and they play a leading role in changing Arab spring to Arab Autumn.
