Afkham urges all parties in Afghanistan to practice restraint

Tehran, July 9, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham urged all parties in Afghanistan to practice restraint.

Addressing her weekly press briefing on wednesday, she stressed that Afghanistan is now in dire need of tranquility and stability.

She added that all legal ways and means should be examined to get to an appropriate solution.

She reiterated that practicing self-restraint by all is a key issue at the present juncture.

Afkham noted that for Iran which shares about 1,000 kilometers of joint borderlines with Afghanistan, security, stability, integrity and national unity in the country is of vital importance.
