254 kg of narcotics seized in Isfahan

Isfahan, July 6, IRNA – Some 254.705 kilograms of opium and hashish were confiscated from a truck carrying dates, said commander of Khour and Biyabanak Police Sunday.

Colonel Nabiollah Savadkouhi added that 115.305 kilograms of seized drugs are hashish and the rest is opium.

The drugs have been hidden in dates boxes loaded on a lorry en route from a southern Iranian province to northern cities of the country, he pointed out.

The commander further noted that one person was arrested during the operation and handed over to judicial authorities.

Khour and Biyabanak city located east of Isfahan province.
