'Dingo Maro' in market

Tehran, July 5, IRNA -- Iranian singer, Mohsen Sharifian, finally released his new music album titled 'Dingo Maro' in the market. He is the vocalist and composer of the album's pieces.

Sharifian, who is the head of Lian Bushehr Ensemble, said the album was produced in cooperation with Behnam Shahraki, Iranian musician, and the members of his ensemble.

Sharifian added, "In my opinion, Iranian and international music have been blended attractively in this album. In the production of the album, we tried to show the strength and effectiveness of the music of the south of the country to the audience. I hope we have achieved the goal."

Each piece of the album is a blend of the music of the south of the country and those of Spain, India, African countries, Australia and Jamaica, he said.

"We have also used electronic music genres including House and Trance which has been unprecedented."

On the album's title, he said the album is named after the first piece of the album which is 'Dingo Maro'.

Dingo Maro is a mental disease which afflicts sailors. It is the name of a kind of Zaar, an invisible creature which possesses human body, found in Hormuzgan province.

Among the musicians who performed in this album are Homayoun Nasiri on conga, Babak Shahraki on Kamancheh, Majid Nazempour on lute, Dara Daraei on bass guitar, Masoud Homayouni on electric guitar and Ehsan Faramarzipour on flamenco.
