Zarif: Iran, Austria enjoy vast potentials for cooperation

Tehran, April 27, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said here on Sunday that Iran and Austria enjoyed vast potentials for mutual cooperation.

He made the remarks in a joint press conference with his visiting Austrian counterpart Sebastian Kurz .

He announced that the Austrian President Heinz Fischer is also to visit Iran soon.

Zarif appreciated Vienna's efforts while hosting Iran-5+1 nuclear talks.

Kurz, who arrived here Saturday evening for a two-day visit is scheduled to discuss issues of mutual interest with Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani.

The visit aims to prepare ground for official visit of Austrian president to Tehran, who has accepted invitation of his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani.

Austria has hosted the last three rounds of negotiations between Iran and Group 5+1 and the next round of talks will also be held in Vienna on May 13-14, 2014.

Kurz, 27, was appointed to the post in 2013 and is the youngest minister in the Austrian cabinet.
