Takht-e Ravanchi dismisses subsidiary issues having impacts on nuclear talks

Tehran, April 7, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Euro-American Affairs, Majid Takht-e Ravanchi, said on Monday that subsidiary issues have not the least effect on nuclear talks with the G5+1.

Takht-e Ravanchi told IRNA that the nuclear talks revolve around the pivot of the Iranian nuclear program.

Asked to what extent can approval of anti-Iran and interventionist resolution by the European Parliament affect atmosphere of the nuclear talks, Takht-e Ravanchi said, “As already declared by other members of the negotiating team, the nuclear dispute is the agenda of negotiations with Group 5+1.

"We will not allow other issues influence current trend of the talks.”

Meanwhile, Takht-e Ravanchi gave an upbeat report about the outcome of his visit to Finland and said, “During the visit, we held consultations with the European countries. Absolutely, north European states have special status.”

He said that his visit to Finland aimed to hold political consultation with the country’s officials.

He said that he held discussions with the Finland officials on variety of subjects, including international cooperation, bilateral political subjects and the nuclear talks with the G5+1 as well as the Iranian nuclear program.

He said that he reached agreement with respective Finland officials to develop economic, cultural and academic cooperation and share experience in protection of environment.
