Iran, 5+1 start second day of expert-level talks

Vienna, March 6, IRNA – The second day of expert-level talks between Iran and the Group 5+1 member states kicked off on Thursday in the Austrian capital, Vienna.

Iran's Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Reza Najafi made the announcement in an interview with IRNA.

The Iranian and the group of the sextet will discuss several issues including Arak heavy water reactor, uranium enrichment as well as peaceful nuclear cooperation with Iran, during the negotiations.

The outcome of the meeting will be reported to top nuclear negotiating officials who would discuss the issue on March 17-20.

Talks between Iran and G5+1 kicked off on Wednesday and will continue till Friday March 7.

Director of Foreign Ministry's Political and International Department Hamid Baeidinejad is leading the Iranian side during the expert talks while Stephen Clement, who is an aide to EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton is leading the other side.

Several experts from Foreign Ministry and Nuclear Energy Organization of Iran are accompanying Baeidinejad.
