Nuclear accord leaves positive impacts on Iran's economiy: Rafsanjani

Tehran, Jan 29, IRNA – Chairman of the Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Wednesday that nuclear accord between Iran and Group 5+1 left positive impacts on the Iranian economy.

Addressing a group of theologians and instructors of theological schools of Qom, Mashhad and Tehran, he said that nuclear negotiations were conducted by the courageous Iranian negotiators and supported by the senior officials.

Rafsanjani said that the current diplomatic shuttle and visit of the economic delegations and directors of great international companies from industrial countries indicate a breakthrough.

Deploring the country's drawback in the past eight years and waste of public assets, Rafsanjani noted that changes in the country's managerial system requires public intelligence.

He expressed concern about escalation of terrorism in the regional countries citing the Salafi terrorists and dangers posed by the extremists to the Islamic world.

Rafsanjani said that despotism brings in radicalism and that terrorism is the outcome of despotism a vicious circle which should be dealt with.

Moderation must be promulgated in light of the Quranic teachings and that the public right to determine their own fate should be respected, he said.
