Iran is committed to world peace: Pakistani editor

Islamabad, Jan 29, IRNA - Pakistani editor on Wednesday said that President Hassan Rouhani in his speech at World Economic Forum has reiterated Iran’s commitment towards world peace.

Talking to IRNA, Javed Siddiq editor of daily ‘Nawa-i-Waqt’ said that foreign investors must take advantage of the offer made by Iranian President for investment in the Islamic Republic.



“The offer would open new vistas of cooperation between Iran and international community,” he said.



President Rouhani in his speech said he would push for greater engagement with the world as part of his drive to make the Iranian economy one of the top 10 within the next three decades.



Siddiq said that it is good to see that relationship between Iran and West is improving, adding that the Iranian President has told the world that the Islamic Republic is offering excellent investment opportunities.



“The world has turned into a global village that is why Iranian President has offered businessmen to invest in the Islamic Republic,” said the editor.



The analyst said that foreign investors must take advantage of the offer made by the Iranian President as their money would remain safe in Iran. He said that foreign investment would also benefit the Iranian economy and would help the country explore its potential to the maximum level.



He said that President Rouhani has been trying to resolve all issues with the West and US through peaceful means.



Siddiq said that western countries have been launching anti-Iran propaganda but now they have realized that Iran is a major country and cannot be isolated.



“President Rouhani is not following aggressive policies and has assured the world community that Iran is not interested in developing nuclear weapons that is why it has signed a deal with western countries regarding ita nuclear program.



The editor said the West must respect the rights of Iran which is pursuing the path of peace.
