Iran to further facilitate foreign investment

Tehran, Jan 27, IRNA -- Head of the Trade Development Organization Valiollah Afkhamirad said on Monday that Iran is ready to offer incentives to foreign investors as investment regulations have been eased considerably.

He told a meeting of Confederation of the Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industries that if the foreign investors register their company in Iran, they will enjoy equal terms with Iranian companies.

He said that free trade zones and special economic zones would put good facilities at the disposal of foreign investors and economic activists.

He told reporters that the ground is prepapred for activity of foreign investors in Iran.

“After Geneva deal with the western governemnts, a suitable atmosphere has been provided for activity of investors in Iran and they have become highly interested in business with Iran.”

He said that early February a big commercial delegation representing French private sector will visit Iran to examine ways and means of expanding economic relations in different fields.
