Tens of thousands of European terrorists are in Syria: MP

Tehran, Jan 27, IRNA - Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said here on Monday that tens of thousands of terrorists who have gone to Syria from Europe will return to their countries after the settlement of the crisis in that Arab country.

Undoubtedly, the return of terrorists to Europe will create severe crisis in that region, he noted.

Boroujerdi made the remarks in a local gathering on human rights violations in the US.

Boroujerdi referred to cases of violation of human rights by Washington in Iraq, Guantanamo and Abu Ghoraib prison.

Elsewhere in his speech, the MP described Iran and Turkey as two big Islamic neighbors and important countries in the region.

Pointing to the upcoming trip to Tehran of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Boroujerdi said the visit is crucial.

Erdogan is scheduled to arrive in Tehran on January 28 for a two-day visit. He will

meet and confer with several Iranian ranking officials during his stay.
