Iran, Italy agree to set up workshop to boost joint cultural cooperation

Tehran, Jan 26, IRNA – Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Ali Moradkhani and visiting Italian Minister of Tourism and Culture Massimo Bray, during a visit to Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art on Saturday agreed to set up a workshop to promote Tehran-Rome joint cultural cooperation.

Given the importance the Italian ambassador to Tehran attaches to expansion of cultural ties with Iran, the Italian minister expressed hope for increased relations between the two countries in this area.

Massimo Bray further said that in his meeting with his Iranian counterpart Ali Jannati, the two had underlined the need for exchange of experiences between Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art and Rome Museum.

He called for enhanced cooperation between Iran and Italy in the area of music.

The Iranian deputy culture minister, for his part, said Iran pays due attention to promotion of cultural ties with Italy, appreciating the presence of Italian artists in Fajr Festival due to be held in Tehran to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the victory of 1979 Islamic Revolution.
