Islamabad, Jan 25, IRNA – Rangers arrested 22 people, including six members of banned outfits, during a raid in port city of Karachi, local media reported on Saturday.

A Rangers spokesperson told the media that 1000 troops, including female officers, have been involved in the targeted operations.

The operation will continue despite attacks on security personnel and the troops are ready to “restore the city of lights”, he added.

Weapons seized during various raids in the city, including Klashnikovs, pistols and rifles, were shown to the media as well.

In a separate incident, two bodies were found near Lasbela Pul in the city. The victims have not been identified yet.

It was reported that the hands and feet of the deceased were tied.
