President Rouhani arrives in Switzerland

Tehran, Jan 22, IRNA – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani arrived in Davos, Switzerland, on Wednesday to attend the 44th World Economic Forum.

During his two-day stay in Switzerland, the president will hold talks with leaders and other top-ranking officials from different countries participating WEF in Davos.

Rouhani also has plans to meet with WEF secretary-general and give interviews with major media and news channels.

President Rouhani is also scheduled to attend a conference of owners of international media, global businesses and top international economic figures.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Oil Minister Bijan Namdar-Zangeneh and special aide to the president, Hossein Fereydoun are accompanying the president.

The WEF Annual Summit got underway on January 22 under the theme ‘The Reshaping of the World: Consequences for Society, Politics and Business’.

WEF will work until January 26.

The Forum, founded in 1971, brings together world leaders and political and economic experts every year to exchange views on the world’s most important economic issues.
