Support for terrorism from beyond borders threatens Afghan peace

New Delhi, Jan 21, IRNA - India believes that "continued support" for terrorism from beyond the Afghanistan borders is a big threat to peace and security of the war-torn country.

External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid condemned last week's attack in Kabul in which 21 people including three United Nations staff and the International Monetary Fund's top representative in Afghanistan were killed.

The minister also asserted that what Afghanistan faces is not anymore intrinsic tribal differences of ethnic divisions but "terrorism which is receiving continued support from beyond the borders".

India has recently hosted two crucial international conferences on Afghanistan.
