Iran’s efforts for Ummah unity always welcomed: Religious leader

Islamabad, Jan 16, IRNA – A Pakistani religious leader on Thursday said that Muslim countries have always appreciated the efforts of Iran to establish unity among Ummah.

Talking to IRNA, Sahibzada Muhammad Hamid Raza, Chairman of Sunni Ittehad Council said that Iran despite sanctions, arrogance of western states and plots of Zionist Regime has played a key role to fight the challenges facing the Ummah and has taken fruitful steps in this regards.

He congratulated Muslim Ummah on the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon him).

The religious leader noted that Iran is fully aware of western plots against Islam as the country has been a victim of terrorism for years and has fought an imposed war with imperialist forces.

He said that Iran has been trying to create awareness in Ummah regarding US and Zionist Regime’s anti-Islam conspiracies.

Sahibzada Muhammad Hamid Raza expressing his views said that founder of Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini was a great visionary leader and has always fought for the rights of Ummah.

He said that success of Islamic Revolution belongs to the whole Muslim world. The religious leader went on to say that Imam Khomeini had shown to the world that how a tyrant ruler can be defeated with the support of people.

The prominent Pakistani religious leader added that US, Zionist Regime and some Arab countries are trying to create religious strife and sectarian violence in Syria, Iraq, Egypt and Pakistan.

He said that unfortunately some Arab countries that claim to be the leaders of Muslim Ummah are providing financial support to Takfiris.

He said that some Arab countries are asking US to attack Syria and they are even ready to bear the burden of the war on the economies. “How they can allow an external power to attack a Muslim country and holy sites in Syria?” he asked.

Sahibzada Muhammad Hamid Raza said that there is absolutely no sectarian problem in Pakistan but "We have to remain vigilant against western plots to divide Muslims."
