Zahedan, IRNA — An armed robbery ring has been disbanded in southeastern Iran, and a large haul of weapons has been seized from the gang, a provincial official says.

The commander of the Sistan and Baluchestan province's police, Second Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Eshaghi, made the remarks to IRNA on Monday.

He pointed out that a large cache of weaponry had been seized from the gang during the operation.

The ringleader was killed in the clash and his two accomplices were arrested, he added.
