The Tabriz-Jolfa railway is the only electric train route in Iran. It has nine stations and 10 stops, spanning 192 km with a 132 kV overhead power line. The route includes 518 bridges, the most notable being the metal bridge over the Aras border river, which connects Iran to Azerbaijan and the Caucasus region.
