Zahedan, IRNA – Commander of Iran’s border guard police Ahmad Ali Goudarzi says the country’s border guards have inflicted a heavy blow against terrorists in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.

Goudarzi made the remarks on Saturday that a terrorist group was seeking to sneak into the country through southeastern borders in a bid to design sabotage acts.

The border guards vigilantly impeded the terrorists from entering the country, he said.

The commander went on to say that a large haul of explosives had been seized during the operation.

The terrorists fled the country with some of them being injured in the clash, he noted.
