The Elbit Hermes 450 drone that was carrying out a combat mission over the Al Ashiyah areas in southern Lebanon was downed by Hezbollah, according to a report by Lebanon’s Al-Manar TV.
Hezbollah has downed several Israeli combat and spy drones in the past.
The resistance group also intercepted and captured two Israeli drones, including SkyLark in February.
The Israel military, in a statement, has confirmed that a drone operating in the skies of Lebanon was hit by a surface-to-air missile.
The military also claimed that Israeli warplanes attacked the missile launch site after the drone was shot down.
Meanwhile, Lebanon's Hezbollah announced on Sunday that it targeted two buildings used by the Zionist military in al-Mutla settlement area, located on the border of occupied Palestine.
The Zionist media also reported on the sounding of alarm bells in al-Mutla and Kaffara Jaladi towns in the occupied territories.
Hezbollah and Israeli forces have been engaged in exchanged fire amid rising tensions over the regime’s genocidal war on Gaza.
