Tehran, IRNA - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian met with the ambassadors of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at the United Nations.

Following his diplomatic consultations and meetings in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a meeting attended by the ambassadors of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, expressed Iran's views regarding the Palestinian issue and the crimes of the Zionist regime, as well as Iran's legitimate defense against the Israeli regime.

While explaining the operation of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran against the military positions of the aggressor Zionist regime within the framework of legitimate defense and international law, he emphasized that although the Islamic Republic of Iran was able to carry out this operation in a wider radius, only that part of the military positions of the Zionist regime was targeted from where the attack on our Iran's embassy in Damascus was made.

Amirabdollahian further reminded that the Islamic Republic of Iran was able to achieve its goals within the framework of minimal response.

"We were able to show our decisive will and target the military bases from where the attack against our embassy was carried out and convey our message to the regime," he added.
