Tehran, IRNA – Iran clinched five gold medals and secured the championship title in the 2024 Asian Wrestling Championship, currently taking place in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Rahman Amouzad Khalili (65 kg), Amir-Mohammad Yazdani (70 kg), Mohammad Nokhodi (79 kg), Amir-Hossein Firouzpour (92 kg), and Amir-Hossein Zare’  (125 kg) bagged the gold medals.

Additionally, the following wrestlers earned bronze medals: Hossein Abuzari at 74 kg, Hadi Vafaipour at 86 kg, and Mohammad-Hossein Mohammadian at 97 kg.

Iran clinched the championship with 190 points, followed by Japan (130 points) and Kyrgyzstan (121 points).
