According to IRNA, citing the Palestinian Sama news agency, the protesters defied heavy rain to demand immediate action for the release of Israeli captives held in Gaza.
The rally was held hours after a Zionist daily revealed on Monday night that while the majority of the members of the Israeli war cabinet have agreed to an American plan for a ceasefire in Gaza, Netanyahu is against the plan.
The newspaper also reported that Netanyahu, due to the pressures from some of his far-right allies in the cabinet is opposed to the US proposal for a ceasefire and kept repeated his plan for the invasion of the southern Gaza city of Rafah.
Anti-Netanyahu rallies have become common occurrences in Tel Aviv and other occupied cities, with protesters demanding the removal of Netanyahu and the holding of early elections. They also call for an immediate agreement to exchange captives held in Gaza.
Since the beginning of Al-Aqsa Storm operation on October 7th last year, Israelis have held a number of demonstrations against the policies of Netanyahu while demanding him to speed up the release of those who remained held in Gaza.
