According to Al Jazeera TV network, the Al-Quds Brigades announced in a Saturday statement that the group’s fighters targeted a Merkava tank east of Deir al-Balah city, located in central Gaza, leading to the destruction of the expensive and sophisticated tank, which is considered the regime’s main battle tank since the 1980s.
Earlier, the Al-Quds Brigades declared that they had shot down a drone of the regime’s army over the city of Khan Younis.
Palestinian resistance fighters have been engaged in fierce clashes with the Israeli regime forces ever since the Gaza war broke out on October 7. The resistance groups have time and again said that they will continue to fight the regime to force it to stop its crimes and attacks in Gaza, which have so far killed more than 33,000 people, mostly women and children.
