Tehran, IRNA – The officials and figures of the Iranian cinema have said farewell to the young actor, Reza Davoudnejad, during a funeral procession held Saturday morning.


Reza, 43, who was the son of a famous Iranian director Alireza Davoudnejad, died five days ago due to liver failure.

His sister, Mona, addressed the funeral ceremony, saying “All our memories from Reza are sweet and comic.”

Reza started his activities in cinema by acting in Bipanah (meaning Helpless in Persian) about four decades ago. Playing in LA Minor by the late Dariush Mehrjui is in his record in cinema.

He also performed in various TV series during his lifetime.
