Tehran, IRNA- Iran’s ambassador to Indonesia, Mohammad Boroujerdi, says the Islamic Republic has supported and will keep supporting all resistance groups in the fight against aggression and for the cause of al-Quds, regardless of party, group or religion.

According to IRNA's reporter, Boroujerdi made the remarks while attending a press conference on the eve of International Quds Day, which is marked on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan every year worldwide as was designated by the founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini in 1979.

Like Indonesia, Iran considers its basic responsibility to support the oppressed people and confront the occupation, he said, adding that his country will continue to support all resistance groups in confronting aggression and to support the cause of al-Quds.

The history and behavior of the Zionist regime show that the occupiers will continue their aggressive nature if they are not confronted by the international community or Islamic countries as none of the countries in West Asia are safe from the regime’s aggression, Iran's ambassador to Indonesia underlined.

Boroujerdi further commended the Indonesian statesmen for their diplomatic stance and urged Indonesian journalists and media to fulfill their obligations in exposing the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

The Iranian ambassador further pointed to the Zionist regime's terrorist attack on his country's embassy in Damascus and said: The Zionist regime is trying to spread the war in the region so that it can get out of the Gaza quagmire.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has not left this arrogant regime unanswered and will respond decisively to the attack on the Iranian consulate at the appropriate time, place and manner, he added.
