Tehran, IRNA – The latest round of Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip has killed at least 39 Palestinians across the besieged territory, Palestinian media reported on Saturday.

According to Shehab news agency, Israeli artillery attacks killed 36 Palestinians in Nuseirat in central Gaza, most of whom were children and women.

The Israeli attacks also killed a muezzin – a person who proclaims others to attend daily prayer – and two of his children north of Rafah located south of Gaza.

More than 31,000 Palestinians have been killed since October 7, when the Zionist regime launched a genocidal war on Gaza after a surprise operation by the Palestinian resistance groups against the occupying entity.

Efforts made by the United Nations to stop the Israeli aggression against the Gazans have remained futile, as the United States misuses its veto right and extends all-out support to the regime.
