New York, IRNA - Iran's Islamic Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, in a meeting with Algeria's Minister of Social Solidarity, Family and Women's Status in New York, praised the country's positions in supporting the oppressed people of Palestine.

Ensiyeh Khazali, Iran's Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, met and discussed with the Minister of Social Solidarity, Family and the Status of Women of Algeria on the sidelines of the 68th United Nations Commission on Women in New York.

In this meeting, the Minister of Women of Algeria expressed his satisfaction with the relations between the two countries, proposed a wider cooperation in the field of women and family and concluded a memorandum of cooperation and invited the Vice President of Iran for Women and Family Affairs to closely observe the situation of women and family in Algeria to travel to this country.

Khazali praised Algeria's record in fighting colonialism and the country's stance in supporting the oppressed people of Palestine and expressed hope that a solution to save the people of Gaza would be thought of before it is too late.
