Tehran, IRNA- Yitzhak Yosef, the Chief Jewish Rabbi, also called Sephardic or Haredi Rabbi that is a branch of ultra-orthodox Jews in the occupied Palestinian territories has warned the Zionist regime of mass exodus of his community if they were forced to join the army.

According to Israeli media quoted by Lebanon’s Al-Mayadeen, Yosef said Levites (tribal communities) are exempted from the military service or joining the army and under no circumstances this should be applied to them.

“If they are forced to join the army, they will all leave this land”, he warned.

Since the creation of Israel in Occupied Palestine, ultra-Orthodox Jews were even exempted from compulsory military service while studying. But calls got lauder in recent years for them to join the Zionist army, prompting the top Israeli court to strike down the law exempting ultra-orthodox from the military service.

The latest warning from a top Rabbi to leave the occupied territories comes as thousands of people have already left Israel since the Operation Al-Aqsa Storm by the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and the regime’s launch of a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

According to Channel 12 of the Zionist regime, 30,000 people left Israel with the beginning of the war on October 7 last year. The Time of Israel said about 370,000 Zionists left the occupied territories until the first week of November. So far, nearly half a million Israelis are said to have fled the occupied land.

This number is other than some one million Israelis who had left for other countries prior to the Palestinian operation over the regime’s policies, some of whom have so far refused to return.
