Tehran, IRNA - The Israel army in a statement claimed on Saturday night that it had carried out more attacks on southern Lebanon amid rising tensions between the Zionist regime and the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement over the war on Gaza.

According to the Palestinian Sama news agency, the Israeli army’s statement said that it targeted 2 buildings belonging to Hezbollah in the Labbouneh area, located in the south of Lebanon.

This attack followed a Hezbollah statement on Saturday that it targeted the gathering of Israeli soldiers Jalul Alam military facility in the occupied Palestinian territories.

There were no immediate reports of casualties in the attacks from the two sides that have intensified in recent days.

The resistance fighters mainly target Israeli military positions but the Zionist regime has been pounding residential areas in Lebanon causing the death of civilians.

The Lebanese movement says its attacks on the northern Israeli-occupied territories are aimed at providing support to Palestinian resistance fighters battling the regime on the southern front in Gaza.
