Amirabdollahian, who has traveled to Geneva, Switzerland to participate in the 55th meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council and the Conference on Disarmament, met with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Loke Rasmussen on Tuesday as part of his diplomatic consultations during this trip.
Referring to the joint talks in the last few months, Amirabdollahian said that "we have witnessed progress in the issues of interest to the two countries as a result of these talks and consultations, and we have also made progress in some consular issues, and we are ready for talks and cooperation. "Let's continue within the framework of common interests."
By enumerating some areas of bilateral cooperation in the economic and commercial fields, Amirabdollahian announced Iran's readiness to develop these cooperations and made it possible to strengthen the cooperation of the private sectors of the two countries by considering mutual interests and capacities.
Amirabdollahian explained the position of our country regarding the developments in Ukraine and the Red Sea and by supporting the political solution to solve the crisis in Ukraine, he considered the continuation of the Gaza crisis as the root of the instability in the Red Sea and demanded pressure on the Zionist regime to stop the war against Gaza and the genocide of the Palestinians.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs called for the activation of the political consultation committee of the two countries at the level of the senior political managers of the two countries' foreign ministries, considering the various issues of interest to the two countries.
Amirabdollahian assessed the Danish government's measures to prevent the repetition of insults to Islamic holy places as an important step and in the right direction.
He also referred to the special situation of an Iranian child in Denmark and asked the Danish foreign minister to try to return this child to his parents' arms with a humane approach.
Denmark's foreign minister also expressed his satisfaction with this meeting, considered it necessary and useful to conduct these talks within the framework of common bilateral issues and welcomed it.
