Tehran, IRNA – The Palestinian Authority (PA) government, led by Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh, will resign on Monday, several news sources have reported.

According to the Palestinian Sama news agency, Shtayyeh will tender the resignation of his cabinet to President Mahmoud Abbas.

The reports says the current government will continue its activities until the formation of a planned new technocratic government in the occupied West Bank.

Meanwhile, a Hamas source told Al-Arabiya network earlier that the resistance movement does not care about the changes in the government by Abbas, who is the head of the Palestinian Authority.

Pointing out that Hamas wants a Palestinian national government with the consensus of all groups, this source said that the next government should have specific tasks with a time frame.

This source added that a Hamas delegation in Moscow will discuss the formation of a national government for a specific period and with specific tasks.
