Tehran, IRNA – Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement and Israeli forces have exchanged fire across the southern Lebanese border as tensions continue to rise over the war in the Gaza Strip.

In a series of brief statements on Tuesday, Hezbollah said it targeted several Israeli military positions with rockets in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza.

The resistance group reported a rocket strike against the Ruwaisat Al-Alam outpost in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms.

It also said that it had struck the Israeli regime’s Al-Samaqa military site in the same region.

Earlier in the day, Hezbollah targeted the Al-Marj site with “appropriate weapons.”

The Israeli forces also carried out a series of airstrikes in southern Lebanon, including the village of Kafr Kila.

Al Mayadeen TV channel reported that Israeli warplanes targeted the Lebanese town of Blida, damaging two houses.
