Tehran, IRNA – The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has underscored that the Israeli regime’s plot to restrict the entry of Palestinian people into Al-Aqsa Mosque during the coming holy fasting month of Ramadan amounts to a religious war against the nation.

Hamas issued a statement, warning that the violation of the right to worship will not remain unanswered.

Hamas urged the Palestinians living in all occupied territories, al-Quds and the West Bank, to mobilize in order to oppose the criminal decision by Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which was proposed by Minister of National Security of the regime Itamar Ben-Gvir.

The resistance movement also warned that any assault on sacred sites and violation of the right to worship will not remain unanswered, adding that the Al-Quds City and Al-Aqsa Mosque will stay the hub for the Palestinian Intifada and their fight against tyranny and aggression.

One month before the holy month of Ramadan, the Israeli Channel 12 revealed that Ben-Gvir asked for allowing only Palestinians over the age of 70 to enter the holy Islamic site during this fasting month; therefore, thousands of Palestinians under this age would be banned by an order of the Israeli prime minister to enter Al-Aqsa Mosque during this Ramadan, which kicks off approximately on March 10.
