London, IRNA – Iran's Ambassador to Italy, Mohammad-Reza Sabouri, and the Rector of Luiss University in Rome, Andrea Prencipe, have held talks over expanding the bilateral relations between the two countries at science, academic, and technology ties.

Referring to Iran's scientific and academic potentials in various fields, including economics, management, political science and international relations, on Thursday, Iran's ambassador to Italy announced Iran's readiness to exchange university teachers and students with Luiss University in Rome.

For his part in the meeting, Rector of Luiss University in Rome Andrea Prencipe embraced the Iranian ambassador's suggestions and emphasized the desire of this university to expand scientific and academic cooperation with Iran.

He also announced the university's readiness to accept more Iranian students.

Luiss is an independent university that evolved out of an earlier Roman institution, the Pro Deo, between 1974 and 1978. Throughout its four Departments of Economics and Finance, Business and Management, Law, and Political Science, Luiss offers an innovative and sophisticated educational approach.
