Tehran, IRNA – Spain has continued to send weapons and military equipment to the occupied territories contrary to the claim of Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares that it had stopped all arms exports to the occupying regime, according to a Spanish newspaper.

Spain has exported ammunition worth 0.987 million euros to the occupied territories since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s war on Gaza, the Beirut-based TV channel Al Mayadeen reported on Tuesday, citing the Spanish electronic newspaper elDiario.es.

According to the report, Spain has exported a large number of bombs, grenades, mines, rockets, bullets and other ammunition and projectiles and their components to the occupied territories for use in the Gaza war.

Spain also exported about 1.5 million euros worth of such war equipment to Israel last year, about two-thirds of which were in November 2023, after the Madrid government claimed that it had stopped sending weapons to the occupied territories.

The report further said that Spain’s imports from the occupying regime have not stopped either since the beginning of the Gaza war.

More than 28,300 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed since the beginning of the Israeli regime’s brutal war on Gaza on October 7. The war has also left more than 67,900 others wounded.
