Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has arrived in the Qatari capital Doha on the last and third leg of a regional tour that also saw him discuss the situation in Palestine with officials in Lebanon and Syria.

Amirabdollahian arrived in Doha mid-day on Monday after he finished a two-day visit to Damascus, Syria.

He is expected to meet senior Qatari authorities to discuss measures that could prevent a further prolongation of the crisis in Gaza, and to try to put an end to the Israeli genocide of the Palestinians in Gaza and in the occupied West Bank.

The top Iranian diplomat has made recurrent trips to regional capitals since the Israeli war on Gaza started in early October.

Amirabdollahian’s current regional tour began on Friday in Beirut where he met Lebanese government officials, leader of Hezbollah resistance movement Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Palestinian resistance leaders.

He also met Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad, as well as a group of Palestinian resistance figures during his stay in Damascus.
