Al-Sadiq Ali visited Iran’s House of Innovation and Technology (iHiT) and held talks with Mirabadi on Tuesday.
Calling for boosting interactions between Tehran and Khartoum, Mirabadi said that there are many opportunities for cooperation in the field of science and technology between the two countries and Iran is determined to increase its cooperation with Sudan.
Around 10,000 knowledge-based companies and a large number of startups as well as science and technology parks are active in Iran, which provides good capacity to cooperate with Sudan, he added.
Expressing the readiness and willingness of Iranian companies to cooperate with African countries, Mirabadi highlighted that Tehran is ready to expand technological cooperation with Khartoum.
Al-Sadiq Ali, for his part, said that his country enjoys large agricultural lands that need technology to use its resources, expressing hope for finding common ground with Iran to operationalize its scientific and technological cooperation.
Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Al-Sadiq Ali paid a visit to Tehran on Monday upon an invitation by his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amirabdollahian.
The visit comes after Sudan said in October it was restoring diplomatic relations with Iran, seven years after it had severed them and closed its embassy in Tehran.
