Tehran, IRNA – The head of the Iranian Referees Department has announced that four referees have been granted the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) license.

Earlier, Mahsa Ghorbani and Mooud Bonyadifard, two other Iranian referees, had also received the VAR license, Danial Moradi said on Sunday.

Thanks to the efforts of the officials from the Iran Football Federation and the referee committee, an additional four referees now have permission to officiate using VAR, as recognized by the World Football Federation (FIFA), added Moradi.

The newly licensed referees include Mahnaz Zokaie, Hassan Akrami, Amir Arab Boraghi, and Morteza Mansourian. They earned their VAR qualifications after participating in the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) and officiating matches in Uzbekistan.
