Ahmad Moqaddasi told IRNA on Sunday that the production of high-quality raw milk has led to Iran achieving self-sufficiency in butter production over the past two years.
He added that even some of the produced butter was exported last year.
Iran’s raw milk consistently meets international and regional standards, so it is annually exported to 29 countries.
He further referred to Isfahan and Tehran as the first and second biggest producers of raw milk in Iran, while nine other provinces also play significant roles in milk production.
