Moscow, IRNA – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari has expressed Iran's readiness to build a fairer and multilateral world, saying that BRICS should be the voice of the majority of the world's people for justice.

Addressing the 2024 BRICS Summit in Moscow on Tuesday, Safari hoped that the member states would be able to promote BRICS and the Global South and build a fairer, more democratic, and multilateral world.

Membership of Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates will contribute to the prosperity of the BRICS and vice versa, he added.

Referring to the proposals presented in BRICS 2024, he said that all economic-financial, political-security, and cultural-popular topics of BRICS are necessary.

We will implement the necessary plans for active and innovative participation in this year's programs, Safari said.

The first meeting of the BRICS in 2024 was held with the presence of the deputy ministers of foreign affairs and other officials of the nine member countries in Moscow on Tuesday.
