Tehran, IRNA – Iraq’s Islamic Resistance has targeted several US military bases and facilities in Syria since Saturday amid growing anti-American sentiment in the region over Washington’s all-out support for the Israeli regime and its crimes against Palestinians.

According the resistance media, a US base in Al-Omar oil field in Syria's Deir Ez-Zor province as well as another military facility located in the village of Al-Khadra in northeastern Syria were targeted with drones.

There were no immediate reports of possible casualties or damage.

This is the second attack by the Iraqi Resistance in the past few hours on the American military bases in Syria.

Late on Saturday, the Islamic Resistance also claimed responsibility for a rocket attack on a US military base in Syria’s Al-Hasakah Province.

The attack hit areas close to Kharab al-Jir airport, which hosts the American base, said a report posted on the “War Media” telegram page.

Iraqi resistance groups have repeatedly hit US facilities on Iraqi and Syrian territories with missiles and drones over the past weeks in retaliation for the Israeli regime’s genocidal war in Gaza.

The groups are also outraged at the US military presence in the region, which they see as a root cause of instability in West Asia.
