Tehran, IRNA – Deputy Chief of Lebanon's Hezbollah Resistance Movement Sheikh Naim Qassem has underscored that the battle in southern Lebanon is in reaction to Israeli aggression against Gaza, so there would be no room for talking about a halt of the defensive war because it is the repercussion of the ongoing war on Gaza.

The Hezbollah official pointed that numerous representatives urged Lebanon’s resistance movement to resume stability, noting that Hezbollah wants stability, which will be restored as soon as the Zionist regime stops aggression against the Gaza Strip, reported Al-Ahed News.

Following the onset of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm on October 7, 2023, by Palestinian resistance groups and the Israeli regime’s relentless attacks on residential and healthcare areas in Gaza, the Hezbollah movement initiated daily and heavy operations against the regime to engage a significant number of Israeli forces in northern occupied territories.

The Lebanese resistance movement has time and again warned that it will not tolerate widespread strikes against civilians in Gaza and southern Lebanon and that it will continue retaliatory attacks on Israeli positions.

Hezbollah fighters have targeted 48 military centers of the Israeli regime in northern occupied territories over the past three months and inflicted heavy damage upon the regime.
